Udyam Registration Eligibility
To be eligible for Udyam (MSME) registration, a business must be a micro, small, or medium enterprise, and it needs to be a legal entity such as a sole proprietorship, partnership, or LLP. The enterprise must also fall within the specified investment and turnover limits defined by the government for each category.

Enterprise Type:
Udyam registration is open to various legal business structures, including sole proprietorships, partnerships, LLPs, companies, trusts, and societies.

The business must be classified as a micro, small, or medium enterprise according to the MSME definition based on investment and turnover.

Investment and Turnover Limits:
- Microenterprise: Investment up to ₹1 crore and turnover up to ₹5 crore.
- Small Enterprise: Investment up to ₹10 crore and turnover up to ₹50 crore.
- Medium Enterprise: Investment up to ₹50 crore and turnover up to ₹250 crore.

Online, Paperless Process:
Udyam registration is conducted online via the Udyam Registration portal and is based on self-declaration.

Mandatory Documents:
Aadhaar number (of the proprietor, managing partner, or authorized signatory) and PAN are required. GSTIN is also mandatory for most businesses.

One Registration per Enterprise:
A business is allowed only one Udyam registration, but it can include multiple activities under that registration.
